Biden bans Chinese-backed crypto mining company from owning land near U.S. missile base

U.S. President Joe Biden has issued an order banning a Chinese-controlled cryptocurrency mining company from owning property near an Air Force base in Wyoming, citing national security risks. Biden also called for the sale of the property, which is located just one mile from Francis Warren Air Force Base, according to a statement released by the U.S. Treasury Department on Monday. MineOne Partners Limited, which is controlled by China, acquired the property in June 2022 and remodeled it for cryptocurrency mining operations.
